Ben Atar Winery is a family boutique winery located in Safed, between the Upper Galilee Mountains and the biblical region of the Naphtali Tribe. The winery was founded by Moshe Ben Atar and Nachman Dayan – longtime friends and residents of Safed – out of a deep love for the land, the grapes and the process of creating quality wine.

Our vision is to produce wines that tell a story – elegant yet accessible wines, rich in flavor and deep in character. We focus on quality grape varieties, especially Cabernet Sauvignon, which we create from three vineyards in the Upper Galilee – Dishon, Dalton and Kerem Ben Zimra and the Golan Heights.

Our wines are aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, a process that allows the complexity, freshness and regional identity to come to light. Each bottle brings with it the spirit of the Galilee, the coolness of the mountains and the unique Safed soul.
